powerjack has a few versions of this being sold now. i just ordered the 24-volt 6000 watt one to test out. it should be here in a few days. i will update when i know more. they also have a 8k 12k and 16k version but progressively more expensive. it seems they are dropping prices now, maybe due to trade wars, i don't know or oversupply or who knows ... anyones speculation? maybe newer versions in the works.

question? do you think 2 of these could be hooked up to the same ac panel to effectively control 6000 watts? i know i know - lucky if each one will do 3000 as they are likely over rated and definitely will not do 6000 continuosly. but the question is can 2 be wired to the same ac breaker box. put them on the same terminals in the ac breaker box?

forgive my question if it is dumb?

Absolutely NOT.  There is no synchronization function ability between the inverters, and they will end up fighting each other until they blow up.  In order to parallel inverters, they HAVE to be designed for such operation--and I can assure you that PJ inverters are not.  Quite a sticky challenge for GS inverters (with the design) I have to say.

i only connect these PowerJack inverters off-grid using LiFePO4 batteries, I have a new SquareD QO 100amp ac panel that i want to try out but it will not be connected to the grid in any way as there is no incentive to give to the grid system. i bought another 40 250 watt 60 cell panels (2 pallets)and 32 more LiFePO4 280Ah Eve cells to store more and plan to heat water this winter to store excess solar energy to moderate the cold in the old farm house.

i use the Electrodacus SBMS0 as the BMS(battery management system) and the Electrodacus DSSR20 as the soalr charge controllers on these 24-volt builds. i add 2 panels in parallel at a time and increase the PV electric generation.

more later,

ok I will use them on separate breaker boxes or single circuit per inverter. just a dumb thought to parallel them. thanks for the reply "Sid".

i have 4 100 amp breaker boxes i can utilize off-grid.

Looking at  the ebay pictures  the transformer  is  copying the  GS  design  with one primary  32vac  and two separate  120 vac windings on one  core . There is no center tap  like the  ASL9  transformer .   Need to use jumper  as option 2 to make 240vac .  The 2  secondary  has to  be perfect balance 120vac L1 and  120vac  L2  to parallel  as option 1   to  output 120vac  only  .    The control board is 11.1  which has current  limit  to try to save the FET from blowing up .    Maybe the  dog will represent  Powerjack instead of the other  pictures on the manual .

the 20k version is the only one where i see them showing the transformer. perhaps a wifi board would fix it; or a bigger dog!

the 6k one i ordered is supposed to show up on Monday. maybe. it was already in usa warehouse. where the other ones are shipped from china with a 45-60 day wait time.

I see ads for 12k, 16k, 20k, and a 26k, version at 48 volt and a 6k and 8k at 24-volt. no weights are listed so hard to say what is inside them. the one I ordered was a 24-volt 6k unit.🤔, I did see a 20k with an LCD screen. they are all variants of the new AMG style. who knows?

I did receive the 490 micro henry choke rated at 350 amps. have not done anything with it yet.

been raining for 2 days but the LiFePO4 batteries are charged up for the most part from ythe solar panels through the clouds, sun did pop out this afternoon!

Powerjack warehouse in Walnut California .  My ebay picture is the AMG  transformer  in the  12kw inverter with one mainboard .  The  20k AMG  has 6 wires transformer and rev 11.1 control board and AC  output board  and 2 mainboards.   The  15kw is now in one  green  box .

most all eBay ads say they are located in china and have a projected ship time of 45-60 days. this small one is coming out of Walnut, California; they may have some stored in Walnut, California in the other sizes; who knows!

it would be nice if they showed the pictures of the transformer and main boards in all ads and listed weight specifications, so one could get an inkling of what they are selling before bidding!

I am looking at the larger ones but have to buy on bid to try to get a better price.

I bought a 20amp 2k Variac transformer to test out on the ac 120 side of things! it arrived yesterday along with some 4/0 Hypalon tinned copper cable.

Question: so you indicate that the option to full 120 output would require a balanced transformer; on the AMG version; how can we check that? and of course the warranty is a short 14 days!

will be wiring in the ac breaker box hopefully this weekend!

thanks in advance for any directions/help

off-grid is the goal!

First  set the inverter to 60 hz with the button in front and use a wattmeter  to indicate the  60 hz .  Yours do not have a button  on front  .   If  the wattmeter show 50 Hz  with the switch on  and a 60 Hz load is plug  on  the inverter will make a pulsating noise  then shut off  and try setting 60 Hz again if possible  or return  if 50 Hz .     Now check for balance  L1 winding  and L2 winding  with an AC  voltmeter  at the  4 output terminals .   Connect voltmeter  L1 and N1  and the  reading  maybe 119.1 volts  .  Connect voltmeter  L2 and N2  and the reading should read  exactly 119.1 volts . I mean  119.0  or 119.2  not 119.3  because the 2 separate windings are connected in parallel  to double the 120vac output .  the transformer will  make a loud hum if the 2 windings voltage are not the same and  need to tell the seller for return .  The transformer  should be almost silent  if the 2 windings  are balanced .   Walnut  Ca   store  the shipment from China  and store the spare parts  and  resell  the rebuilt  inverter now not rebult by Sean  and returned  inverter  that  they think is good but not tested completely  like Sean does  so you do not know  what is inside .

Thought, it may also be that someone has returned an inverter to their USA collection / service site rather than ship it back to China and this is the stock they are sending out.  Could also be blown up units sent in for service, written off by the owner, repaired and put up for sale again.  If it were another company I wouldn't make that last observation but it is PJ so you can't rule out anything crook like that.
