Shortages seem to be an all-American problem (at least in this dynamic; I'm not working with any other countries).  I have not encountered shortages with Chinese-manufactured parts.  (Now, it can be difficult to source U.S. manufactured chips from China, but that's due to obvious reasons.)

US warehouses with non-expireable product tend to have many months of inventory, some have a year or more. With manufacturing slowdowns reducing the replenishment rate of those warehouses, we're just now really beginning to see the effects of decisions made nearly 2 years ago. I suspect it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better, a lot workers got the first taste of what their "time" was worth to them and never went back.

I haven't had any issue getting products from China. They made very different policy decisions, though they may now be copying (... heh heh) US' policy mistakes.

My utility company cost is 10 cent per kwh for Oct to May and about 40 dollars per month using the PJ inverter . The minimum cost is 35 dollars per month if I use no grid power . I live a few miles fron a nuclear power plant and maybe that is why winter rate is low for people who do NOT have grid-tie solar . The utility charge people with grid-tie solar 100 dollrs per month and on rainy day or at night the cost is 40 cent per kwh all year from the grid . If the grid-tie solar produce more power to feed back to the utility then they get pay 4 cents per kwh . What a scam to have grid-tie solar ?

Grid-Tied systems are real common here. Nothing detrimental, just an additional fee for the net meter. Not a bad deal when you factor in 20 cent per kwh rate.
The issue i have with doing grid-tied is the utility requires all these inspections and properly certified equipment, etc. I'm too cheap for that.

Some people  has solar  before 2017  get pay for every kwh they feed back to the grid the same as what the utility charge them per kwh .    With the sun  producing  power for 12 hours every day during the summer the utility  was losing  a lot of money .    Now  the utility only net meter  4 cents  for grid-tie   backfeed .    Getting  20 cents for net metering  is good in your state .       The utility requires all these inspections and properly certified equipment is  to keep  their  worker  from being  electrocuted .   Those  grid-tie  solar is running  over  400  volts  .    My  off grid  with  120v solar and 60 v battery  is dangerous  enough  where no certified  electrician  would touch  .

Getting 20 cents for net metering is good in your state . The utility requires all these inspections and properly certified equipment is to keep their worker from being electrocuted . 20 cent is the rate to buy from grid.

I think it's like 12 cent to sell to grid. It's essentially what it costs the utility to generate the power. The rest is the cost to maintain the transmission & distribution grid. It would make no sense for you to get the same rate the utility gets because you don't maintain the lines.

I understand why they do the inspections. I'm just not willing to pay the cost for certified equipment, or for the inspection process (or put up with it for that matter...). What i would do would not put them at risk, i just don't want to prove that to them. Too much red tape for my blood. Yuck.

Jack at PowerJack is also not replying via skype now for several days/weeks.... maybe back orders for 4 months or who knows???? maybe jack call volume is overwhelmed with conversations due to the skype system...

that is why i sent a skype to Helen at PowerJack who replied with a  "Hi sir, I am sorry that I quited my job 2 months ago,  please contact the original seller to confirm the status of your orders, thank you!"

the last reply from Jack at PowerJack via skype was may 18th 2022....but i sent messages on Sunday and Monday of  this week and on may 29th alsowith no replies.....have to make one wonder about their shipping selling situation as i have a lot of money for inverters waiting on them....starting the eBay complaint system now,,,,and may have to get the refund vis the credit card....

no reply = scam??

at least eBay has money back guarantee and the credit card payment is the second line of scam defense...

the original seller "rayjunglepower" does not reply so likely scam supply problem??? wonder if they read this forum????

yes the grid tie offer is being more commonly being renigged upon.... put in a bunch of special equipment .....very expensive if you do it all with permits,,, disconnects etc and slow time consuming to give them your solar generated electric for pennies and then have the big government backed electrical monopolies renigg on the deal.... no thank you...

off grid is still the best bet....

south Dakota has no grid tie payback at all so i will never go with any grid tie system in south Dakota🤔😎

David always answer  when contact on ebay  within  2 days .   Can not be a  supply problem  as Sean  say on youtube  he will  order  more GS 6kw inverters  and maybe  the GS 12kw  at the same time .    I  think someone in Walnut keep track  of this forum   as youtube  and  google is block in China  but not in Taiwan where David is from .

is David the same as Jack from PowerJack on skype.....?????

these orders i am waiting on are to be coming from china,,, but they are not replying....so one has to question what is going on... its not like they do not know cause they stated in an email that I would be given preferential customer status.

"i so you got 4-5pcs from ebay

thats why we set up your skype account

we will make vip service for you"

the above quote was from powerjack-Jack via skype on Friday May 13th...

seems they answer no more because they sent one that was not what I ordered...

Maybe Genetry Solar will have better luck using the prepay with customer's money method???? they are getting as bit undependable for delivery for my systems.

the oldest missing order was march 28th. then april 18th and finally april 27th.. they sent a piece of paper and then it showed as delivered on the ebay system... so  presently there are 3 missing orders and one at least was the wrong product....

who is David??? via ebay???

I bought my PJ "8000W" ($299) inverter from rayjunglepower in December, and that account on EBay seems to have been replaced with a new one. I got qty2 100W ($85/ea) mono panels recently, and panels still seem cheap and available.
