Today I got my shipment from power jack and it wasn't what I expected IMG_20220728_204312.thumb.jpg.049d0ddec8a1fc33c9599edf6858ea81.jpg

It's runs fairly well but is very simple

I think it's a 4k max unit like the 8000W PJ unit.

The transformer has no tag on it but appears to be the same core as my other unit

It has 3 caps on the power board

The fets are RUH1H150R 100v 120A

That makes them capable of 50% more current than the RU7088R FETs in my 24v unit

Anyone know what I have here?

Yeah, a Power Jack inverter with a different sticker on top 😉.

Power Jack actually makes several rebranded inverters. They offered to rebrand something for us but we decided to go the all custom route instead. I find it odd that they dont at least print out a brand new sticker. Would be curious to see the inside of it.

I am confused that  you ordered a 12000w PJ inverter  and was  sent a  Blue Energy  8000w  inveter  made by PJ .    This  has to be a custom  inverter  that  someone  return  to Walnut  .      The largest  is 3500w  by Blue Energy  on their wsb site .       The 8000w inverter  NOT AMG  will probably do 4000w and will not have a ASL2.0 transformer .

Hey, it would be nice if you would get your facts straight before just posting.

  • That's not a Blue Energy inverter.
  • Blue Energy is not made by PJ
  • It is not a custom inverter.  It's a newer AMG-series PJ rebranded with a different sticker on top.
  • The sticker doesn't even say Blue Energy.  It says Plus Energy WccSolar

Can't find much on Plus Energy WccSolar, but I did find this Spanish webpage, which clearly indicates that it's made by PJ: https://hiperchino.com/articulo/B079YW4JJZ/plusenergy-wccsolar-inverter

and of course, there's the "WccSolar" website, which the inverters are unabashedly relabeled PJs: https://www.wccsolar.net/product-page/inversor-solar-8000w-48v-onda-pura-cargador-120a?lang=en

It apparently has 3 capacitors, to my 2, and 120A mosfets.

I saw  Energy  and look up  Blue Energy   .     He was sent  a  8000w WccSolar  AMG  inverter .     Maybe it has a  ASL4.0  transformer  but  why no label ?     He can probably return  it  . and get  full refund  ?

His   mainboard   with 3 capacitor  is probably   like the mini mainboard  in the 20kw  PJ and has 6 FETs on each  mosboard  ?        This  8000w WccSolar  may do  4000kw ?

The FETs are are different value, and can handle a higher wattage? Can additional capacitors be added by an end user to a PJ mainboard?

Your  mainboard can only have 2 capacitors  and 4  FETs  per mainboard  I think .     You can email Helen  for the  20kw mini mainboard with  6 FETs  and 4  capacitors .   The cost of  185 dollars   and maybe  more  now  for a complete  mainboard   is probably  not  what you want to do .

There are circles printed on the mainboard pcb that indicate where additional caps could go. You can see one in this photo. I think I have 4 banks of 6 FET's.  I don't know the value of them.

The mainboard  is the same one in  the  20kw  PJ  with 6 FETs  mosboard .        You can solder 2  more capacitors to the mainboard  .

Label on the box

The main board has spots for 4 caps 3 installed

6 FETs per bank

High speed fan

The box says it's an ASL2
