Understood--but the problem is that I'm under a smashing deadline right now and I really can't do anything about that. Aside from lose the job, that is.
I've managed to get user manual largely updated from the UI perspective, but the actual chassis layout is the hard part to update in the doc. And across 60+ pages, there's a lot of info to try to make sure it's up to date before releasing it.
FWIW, could we get a link to the latest manual? I can't find it on the website. It used to be on the home page...
Sid, have the GS6 charging my batteries but only at 10A. How do i increase the charge rate. Have the charge mode in Auto, Charge Trig 57.6 v (what is the charge Trig?) Charge Amps 25% I have SOK 48V/100 batteries max charge rate 80A Charge voltage 57.6-58.4 What are the correct settings on the GS6 for this?

So I removed the pages about wiring multi-unit setups (as that's going to take several days to update), filled out a few light spots...here's a draft version of the updated manual:
It's incomplete. But has most of the GUI spec updated.

"Charge Trig" is the threshold trigger voltage below which the GS6 will automatically start charging (if "Charge Mode" is set to Auto).
There's technically two current limits for charging:
- the AC Input current limit. (CFG -> AC Input -> MaxAmp 120v / MaxAmp 240v [different depending on the current provided AC Input voltage]
- the inverter will automatically throttle charge to keep from exceeding this MaxAmp setpoint, regardless of the charge settings.
- The above "Charge Amps" limit.
- This is calculated by "100% = inverter rated continuous load", so 25% on a 6kw inverter should pull (6,000 * 0.25) = 1,500W for charge if allowed that much by the MaxAmp setting.
i put a small load on and the inverter was on , then increased the load to maybe 300 watts and it tripped and the alarm sounded with red light on the on off button.
What was the error listed on the bottom line of the LCD (OUT page)?
ERR: ?????????
My guess is it tripped for low battery voltage
The buttons are up down and enter, and are customizable in the menu (enter can be center or right)
Sean has put out videos on configuration
@sid-genetry-solar Sid, the manual is an big help. Still not able to raise the charge rate. I have the AMPS at 99% but still only 10A /600W to battery bank. I have 20AMP 240v input. The on/off button is blue for charging, but it is flashing? Normal?
Sid, figured out the charging issue. Raised the AC input amps to 15. Manual is much help, even if it is a draft.
The on/off button is blue for charging, but it is flashing? Normal?
Yes. Non-flashing = "pass-thru", i.e. Output = Input. Fast-flash = bulk charge, slow-flash = float charge.
I'm glad the manual is a help. But I'm sorry that identifying as an octopus doesn't give me six more arms...I could get so much more done if that actually worked 😜
Hopefully next week I'll be able to delve into that stuff and get things a bit more updated in the manual--and do a proper release of it.
All batteries at 100% now. Cut ac input. Running on inverter. Load 1400w heat gun. Tripped inverter, ERR! FET Amp Limit! 112A? LCD screen cuts off but looks like 112A.
Tested the 120 v 14 amp heat gun directly wired to L1/N just to be sure it wasn't a wiring issue. The heat gun pulls 40w just on the blower and runs fine. Switch to heat and instant trip, same error as above.

That is not an error you should be getting--especially not with a regular heat gun @ less than 1/4 of the inverter's rated continuous output capacity!
What is the firmware version in the inverter? (OUT page -> press Enter -> down 4x to "Diags" -> press Enter -> version will be displayed right there.)
Sid, it says LCD 1.2r2 and CPU 1.2r2 Sys mode 2
What model does it say on the screen
It could be misconfigured
