Got a GS unit

Just tested with all my loads on it except for the dryer

66% load fans running part time only

Never got hot

Did beep at me when the second pump kicked on in the well system but didn't have any issues with it

I have to say I'm always slightly amused when I see customers using the "screen flip" function.  Ain't any other inverters out there that let you do that one!

I have 10 renogy solar 100W solar panels, 60A MPPT controller and an 8000W Lyabe 24V in/ 220V out split phase inverter.  5kw lithium ion batteries 24v with a simple 2 gang breaker box populated with 2 15A 120v breakers terminating in 2 15A duplex receptacles.  I checked the inside of the inverter and it is 100% Power Jack, with a 4 cap main board and an asf-7 transformer.  It works well other than low power output.  I suspect the DIP switches are set wrong, but without the technical info don't want to screw things up.

It came with the terminals but I didn't use the 400A fuse that came with it

Stuck with my 300A

Gotta love the short protection on those batteries

I've had 2 inverters short now and the battery cuts power before the fuse can blow

Agreed. A bit hard on charge controllers though.

I use a pair of LA batts to take that punishment.

The way this goes down is inverter shorts

Battery opens

Charge controller gets clamped to 0 shutting it down

Sure. Just depends sometimes.

If the circuit stays closed, no issue.
If it opens, voltage is inclined to spike towards infinity - destroys charge controllers.

A known issue with BMS protected batts.

My charge controller won't start without battery voltage

If I just connect the solar input the battery terminals stay at 0

If I unhook the battery it stays at the max charge voltage I set it to

It is limited to the input voltage (60V) in my case
