the 30000 watt bidding ends at 227 am.... crazy time to be bidding at the very end of that auction.....and shipping greater than 47 days out of GuangZhou, China???

maybe same slow boat with the competitors shipment???

says seller accepts no returns???

i buy dell computers with windows 10 pro and microsoft office pre-installed for less than 100 dollars to upgrade....

we had a maintenance man in a factory where I was supervisor who had this incredibly smashed large thumb who always beat on things with a large hammer >>> that vision always keeps me laughing!!!

That's like the PJ way ... save $1 to cripple a system that costs hundreds $$$ just to ship and waste all the potential ...

OK, I got a lead-time back from the Asian manufacturer.

Remember I said above that the American manufacturer's lead time is 66 weeks?  (Talk about tying your money up for over a full year, without being able to manufacture anything in that time period.)

The Asian manufacturer can produce a 5,000pcs order of the hugely better (and cheaper) chips in THREE WEEKS.

Unfortunately, realities like this is why Asian manufacturers often win over American ones.  Because it often simply isn't even a choice in the first place.

you may need to get a second job to buy the 5000 Asian chips! 🤔🤔

or buy a already here in the USA PowerJack parts machine out of the East Lansing, Michigan's eBay seller's warehouse🤔

they advertise pieces and parts there of unknown Asian origin quality...

my engineer contact definitely is being slowed by the semiconductor shortage and said some will not be available until 2023....😢

maybe we will need to burn some wood so out in the 5 below Fahrenheit I go to cut more firewood...😒

I have 8 of the exact chips on my desk right now.  I have tested other chips from this company, and they are amazingly capable, and dirt cheap + readily available, some even from Digi-Key.  Heck, every single MakeSkyBlue MPPT (and PowMr I would assume) uses MCUs from this company.

They're not copying those devices--that set of Chinese garbage is just outright purposeful fraud.  To sell a "2TB" USB drive that literally just has a 2GB SD card in it.

The issue that comes up quite often is that they work great at first then a year later they start degrading.  One cheap armnet daughter board we had during the second winter they got cold they starting having issues it was funny sort of freeze up because of the cold.  Not cool when you have to fly all over the USA and replace boards and reprogram them at least they were smart enough to use a modular setup so wasn't bad just sucked laying on the floor in a freezing warehouse replacing them all.  If you have the time to QA boards for a year or two that is okay but that is way too slow.
