I've got a UPower 12v 5000W-LF-PSW-SP 120v/240v inverter. It has the built-in charger & UPS function.
I've used it a bunch of times in the past to charge the 12v 4s Lifepo4 battery that's connected to it without any issues.
Currently though when I plug it into 120v mains power (with no load connected) it starts to charge and slowly ramps up the current to 40 amps as it should but after about 1 minute, it shuts down and sounds the alarm. (Below is Alarm & Battery status/details)
I have the manual that came with the inverter and it has a section on how to interpret the alarm details but I don't see anything on my exact alarm mode. Plus the manual is in super "changlish" which doesn't help.
Alarm Details
Green Charging Light is ON
Red Alarm Light is ON
Constant steady Beep until I switch off the inverter
Battery Details
Trimpot / Selector set to #3 - 14.6v (I have even tried setting it to the highest @ 15.1v)
Battery Voltage is only 13.6v (well below the high voltage cutoff)
When alarms sounds and charging stops, the batteries BMS is still on. So the inverter it's not going into alarm because the BMS shut off and the inverter can no longer sence the battery.
I appreciate any help!
