Yep these are LiFePO4 cells , 2170 cells. These are the ones that battery hook up sells. if you think you can drill a hole into one and put a screw, be my guess I'll put my drill press outside and hand you them, to prove it to me lol.
you are right. you have the small form factor unfriendly to work with small cells.... sorry for my mis-understanding>>> without pictures of what you were working with it was hard to visualize your battery problems...
i was thinking of large form factor aluminum cased prismatic LiFePO4 cells>>>> I have LF280K Eve cells and 272Ah Lishen prismatic cells which are more accommodating to the DIY.... definitely not what you are using.... so not good to me to reply .... sorry

Idle should not have changed with the update. And there's no appreciable change in idle current between any of the control board revisions...like <a contenteditable="false" data-ipshover="" data-ipshover-target="/profile/175-steve/?do=hovercard" data-mentionid="175" href="/profile/175-steve/" rel="">@Steve pointed out, MOST of the idle current is the magnetization current of the transformer itself.
EDIT: AND yes, idle should be in the 20-25W range. The "8W" reading was a guesstimate calculation I put in the custom HTML file for <a contenteditable="false" data-ipshover="" data-ipshover-target="/profile/3-the-blind-wolf/?do=hovercard" data-mentionid="3" href="/profile/3-the-blind-wolf/" rel="">@The Blind Wolf, not actual measured input current (as the A.1/B boards don't have input current sense anyway).

No biggy. I do have the bib 250ah cells as well. I do like those, but dang are they big and heavy lol. Glad I didn't do 48v. geesh.
Well they posted a update, the first six k and 12k has been built.
Look like all the pre-order will be deliver before STARSHIP go to orbit .

*snickers* yeah, cause I use a custom html for my needs, instead of looking *Blinks* At the LCD screen. ha,ha,ha. 😛

depends on Sean's lawn mower duty and such ???? does not look like any load testing or YouTube assembly videos to be seen of the 6k or 12k ...still watching for the sounds under load with the decibel meter.....
I can imagine the difficulty of bolt holes not lining up correct slowing some parts.... for sure and the case size being a smaller tight fit will make all a bit harder to work in.... especially for folks with big paws....

I think pre-order need to be all delivered within one year by FTC requirement or else ? Sean has no time to do complete load test and will update the firmware later according to youtube I think . I think the GS6kw on back order is allow to be deliver anytime when load test is complete so no hurry on the GS6kw . What do you think ? I am always thinking of the changes to STARSHIP which is similar to the changes for the GS6kw inverter . The GS12kw seem to be working good by itself on one battery bank . The GS12kw was able to do 18000 watts a year ago and should had gone to production by Jack and sent with ocean freight to Walnut and pay no import tax . The GS!2kw first prototype was a good running inverter on youtube until ....... DECEMBER .
Delivery expected tomorrow at noon.
It's great that you will have overcome the obstacles. I had to dig deep and tough things out a couple if times in my life, but now, in retrospect, I'm proud of my accomplishments. Didn't Conan the Barbarian say "That which does not kill you, makes you stronger?"
Nice to see the communication adapter today on youtube. Mine will have the RS485 so was glad to so how that part is modular. Hoping the inverter building is going smooth.
Someone got their starship!
Installed in cabinet with air dams self opening exhaust ports and an intake filter
Temp controlled fan on self opening vent for charge controllers
Whereas on the 6K load changes could be seen in my lights (flicker) the 12K has no flicker at all

This is due to a much lower transformer resistance in the 12k: less voltage drop in the transformer at higher loads. The less voltage drop in the whole system (batteries included), the less adjustment the inverter has to make when loads change.
Glad it's working. And you may have noticed the changed button sequence.
