Not sure yet, waiting on UPS to show up with my two Pups GS inverters. But, was checking my battery system which I've not done in a long time about a month and noticed that my battery level is at 26v. was looking into what may be the issue and when I log into my sky blue its show ing that my solar only producing 21v, which is odd, since its should be nearly 60v, and it showed the charging was off, so tested the solar array at the source and sure enough 58.9v check at the terminal at the skyblue and its showing the same reading. But when I go into the app it still showing half the power.
I'm thinking a short of some kind, will look at it tonight when the inverters get in, but I think I am going to have to cap the end of those wires going into the terminal to prevent any stray strands popping out, might be the issue. luckly it didn't catch fire, since no fuse or breaker is on the solar system.

Well, yep, the blue is no good, hooked it back up and well it just don't want to come on or anything any more. looks like I'll have to switch to another brand. not even had it a year I don't think, might have. I also was hopeing they would come out with a 100a or at least a 80a version, they still stuck on 60a. They really need to improve on the terminals though, come on, give us bigger terminal we not in china where everything is small or pumpped up to look big on power.
You have 36V batteries (perhaps series 12v to get 36), right or are you back to 12v? 36 x 60 is about 2.2kW, do you have that sort of power actually coming out of your array, and not just assuming this power level based on paper specs of the array? Wondering if you could get away with a lower amp charger and knock the price down a fair bit.
No, I got a 24v Battery system, the solar array is setup as a 60v Open voltage, the volts are fine coming in, the sky blue will not start up now, the fan won't even kick on when I apply the power to it. So its some how dead. too bad its not got fuse if that what it is like Victron I just replace the fuse if it got blown. Might just order another one from amazon and send this one back as a doa. its for one of my 60A array, got 15 panels on it 5 strings of 3 panels 1500w.
While I said its 1500w of course you know that it will never reached that much watts, Which for 60A is 1440 for a 24v battery system, I be lucky if that thing hits 1300w. I've not had a chance to see what it will do since upgradeing to the 24v system. Now that I'm draining my system I was hopeinmg to see itproduce, guess not. working on another 60a array, with a 15A already to go, just got to hook it up to the victron.
Don't forget that your actual battery voltage comes into play, not just the nominal. I think you are using lifepo4, so your battery will be lurking around 25.5 volts and higher unless you discharge it fully. At 25.5V 60A is 1530W. At 26V, 1560W and 27 1620W. 1300W is 50A at 25.5V.
Yep, but you never want to max out a solar charger either. pushing them to the edge is asking for short life. Luckly I got a everor or what ever they call that thing its a 40a. so have to take some panels off the string . I'll use it until the other sky blue comes in then send the bad one back and have two 60a lol.
Well, I installed my new make sky blue, and then I grab the old one, and well basicly inserted the wires into the battery terminals and then place the wires on the battery bank and what you know the fan fired up, so its not dead after all. well I'll be putting it back up since its the wifi model the other one isn't which I should have pay attention when ordering.
One big, and big thing if the guy who makes these things needs to do. Put BIGGER TERMINALS on these things, if you going to come out with a 100a model it better have big terminals andbe able to take more then a 14 gauge wire. these terminals won't even take a 10awg wire pin connector, which I just finally found to make things a bit better looking and stuff. so sad, you have to litterly cord screw a 10 awg wire into these terminals and find the smalles jeler flat head to tighten these little screws. really? its the 2021 last I look and you say these are made in USA? Sure looks like a China made since they love little things, we USA folks love big things!!

The readily available cheap (and let's face it, MSB isn't targetting the premium end of the market) '6 amps' terminal blocks in this style come in various configurations up to 16 contacts. Different pin (on the circuit board side) spacing is available but you give with one hand and take with the other, the spacing means less terminals, blah blah blah.
MSB has decided that using 2 x 2 and 2 x 3 blocks is the cheapest way for them. They could have used a single 10 contact 6A strip but they cost more. Fork your single cable into two smaller bundles of wires and put one into a separate terminal.
These things are absolutely made in China. Makeskyblue is a Chinese company, and don't attempt to hide that at all. The faker brand powmr that makes a clone of the MSB charger says what ever they can to get the sale, including running ads that state Makeskyblue is the fake, as well as ads saying powmr is a registered name in the USA (might well be, but has nothing to do with them being a faker that also makes stuff in China). Did you by a powmr branded one?

POWMR? never heard of it. nah, I got a make sky blue same as the wifi model just the non wifi model, working fine.
the 60a works great for my one array, and the other arrray will be basicly the same once I finish putting up the panels it just facing a different dirction for morning charging, right now my main array is only starting up at 9 A.M. but don't ramp up until like 1a.m. and stays top off until the sun sets.
