Description
Genetry Solar inverters are completely designed in-house by Genetry Solar in the U.S.A.; they are not “white-labeled” (rebranded) products designed by a different company. This means that we are able to provide literally unparalleled technical support, not to mention providing features not found anywhere else in the low-frequency inverter market.
Genetry Solar inverters are designed to meet the varied needs of the off-grid customer who knows exactly how they want their system to work. There are literally hundreds of settings, allowing complete control over the inverter’s behavior. Many features are actually the result of customer requests!
The 128×64 graphical LCD provides all of the inverter information and settings. Say goodbye to the standard head-scratching numeric error codes and mysterious settings denoted by incomprehensible hieroglyphs!
Through the integrated WiFi connectivity, you can actually directly connect any Internet-capable WiFi device to the inverter for status and control on a beautiful yet simple web server. The WiFi can be configured to connect to an existing network and/or it can generate an access point. You can easily turn a cheap old tablet into a full-featured remote screen for your Genetry Solar inverter! Or you can directly pull status information from the inverter for an Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or desktop project.
Genetry Solar inverters can be updated via WiFi, both via normal Internet connection, or via direct upload. The Direct Upload update feature also allows you to update inverters remotely deployed in areas with no Internet connection. Unlike other inverters, there are no fancy software or hardware requirements necessary for Direct Upload–just your trusty smartphone or laptop (with a downloaded Genetry firmware file on it). Contact us for more details!
Yet another industry-first available on Genetry Solar inverters is the automatic AC Input switching function. This is a highly valuable feature for RV customers who may go from a 240v shore connection one day to Grandma’s 120v extension cord the next day! No external hardware is required: a split-phase output Genetry Solar inverter will automatically switch between 120v input or 240v input as needed! You can even configure separate amperage limits for 120v and 240v…the inverter will automatically limit battery charge as necessary to avoid exceeding the configured amperage limit. (Note that regardless of whether 120v or 240v is provided, the inverter will continue to provide 240v split phase output.)
For an exhaustive list of features, you can read the Owner’s Manual.
